Michael Martin began his music publishing career at Moraine Music, where he was VP of Creative Services. He was instrumental in establishing the company as a competitive independent music publisher. He was part of the team that delivered the hits There’s Your Trouble – the Dixie Chicks, For a Little While – Tim McGraw, and I’ll Go On Loving You – Alan Jackson.

During his tenure at Moraine, Martin pitched songs that were recorded by Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Blackhawk, Tim McGraw, Lee Ann Womack, Patty Loveless, Mindy McCready, Trace Adkins and many others.

Martin is currently co-owner of Extreme Writers Group (EWG) with Jason Houser. Martin recently signed Grammy Award winning songwriter Mike Reid to the company. Reid has written hits for country artists including Tim McGraw, Ronnie Milsap, Lee Roy Parnell, Wynonna and many others. He also co-wrote Can’t Make You Love Me for Bonnie Raitt. Martin and Jason Houser share responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the music publishing and content development companies.
